For GLÅUGUST, "Non-Lovecraftian cosmic horror". A weather condition for in-person session play.
During the most violent clashes in the firmament, pieces of dead angels appear and rapidly necrotize in the sky. Masses of feathers and viscera block the sun with iridescent shadows, shifting the land underneath.
Under a gore eclipse, players can only roll physical die, and cannot share their own dice with other players.
After anyone other than the GM rolls a single die, remove that die from play.
After anyone other than the GM rolls two or more dice, measure the distance between all dice, and divide the sum by 3. Change the rules play based on the remainder.
• [distance]%3==0: The GM folds any game document in half. The hidden part of the document is treated as nonexistent.
• [distance]%3==1: The GM takes a photo of any game document from at least 5 feet away, then removes the original document from play and using only the photo for reference. Any illegible text is treated as nonexistent.
• [distance]%3==2: The GM chooses any game document and replaces it with another similar but distinct document.
All effects are reverted when the slaughter abates and the sky clears.
